Vibrator.com has the Celebrity Scoop!
December 10, 2007
Here at Vibrator.com, we’re celebrity news junkies just like you. We’re always scouring PerezHilton.com and TMZ.com for the dirt on our much loved/hated stars and heiresses. And being in the line of work we’re in, we pay close attention to the sex-related material we find and tuck it away for either publication or blackmail. Luckily for them, we’ve decided to publicize their sex-toy-related news for your entertainment.
Some of us are old enough to remember the early 90’s, when Madonna released her controversial (at the time) book “Sex” and exposed America to (then) taboo sexual practices and fetishes. Celebrities of the time, like Naomi Campbell, Isabella Rossellini, Big Daddy Kane, and Vanilla Ice risked their careers lending their likeness to the book, and in turn were part of easing modern America into alternative lifestyles and taboo sex.
Since then, we’ve read about multiple “leaked” sex tapes, including such forays into the bedrooms of Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson. Are they truly that careless/carefree, or might they be vying for the ultimate desensitization of what is taboo? (Yeah, right!) Whatever their plan or reason, “our” celebrities sex-lives make for more than just good entertainment. Call it the “sexualization of America”!

One young and bright entrepreneurial celeb has figured out how to capitalize on sex without hurting his career or giving dad a coronary. Rapper 50 Cent has announced the development of a waterproof “motorized version of me”, as he so eloquently puts it. All we know is that it will be molded from his very own manhood and “it will probably be blue” – his favorite color. Also in the works is a “50 Cent Condom”. Whether this condom will actually cost 50 cents remains a mystery.

So who is 50 Cent marketing his line to? Star Magazine claims that Britney Spears was spotted at Hollywood’s “Hustler” sex toy shop recently stocking up on some gear. She is also reported to have a secret double-locked “fantasy room” in her Beverly-Hills home. “It’s filled with sex toys, from ticklers, whips and chains to fur-trimmed handcuffs,’ says an insider. ‘She keeps sex toys in a glass jar.”

While we suspect that Star Magazine’s sources may not be the most reliable, we do have far more legitimate reports about Brangelina’s erotic shopping escapades while in London. Friends Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria were also shopping for sex toys and lingerie in Hollywood last weekend, sources close to the stars say. Longoria got a stunning response from her fans in 2005 after confessing in an interview her love for vibrators. “People sent them to me by the truckload. Boxes and boxes and boxes. I gave them to all my girlfriends.”
So what’s the big celebrity scoop? Well, there really isn’t one. America seems to be happily comfortable with its sexuality. Today, we’re far more concerned with who’s coked-up driving down Santa Monica Boulevard than with some silly sexual taboo.
History of Vibrators 101

History of Vibrators 101
Here at Vibrator.com, we have the opportunity to come across some of the most ingenious sex toys around. Vibrators, Dildos, Sex Machines, Love Dolls, you name it. However, I came across this old advertisement for the “Grover Vibrator”.
I mean if you look at it, kind of looks like the jaws of life or something.
Question is, how did it go from so vile to oOooOooOh! so good.
The first electrically powered Vibrator was invented by Kelsey Stinner in the 1880s to treat what was then called “congestion of the genitalia“ and “female hysteria”. For centuries, doctors had been treating women for these illnesses by performing what we would now recognize as masturbation. However, they soon noticed that the “vulvar stimulation” required had nothing to do with sex, but reportedly found it to be time consuming and hard-work.
Dr’s found that Stinner’s vibrators got the job done more quickly and without much effort, and soon became an extremely popular medical device.
In the 1880s the vibrators were large, cumbersome and quite frankly really expensive. However, by the 19th century, vibration therapy was one of the most popular services available at luxury resorts in Europe and America. Some of the vibrators featured were musical, counterweighted, vibratory forks, undulating wire coils called vibratiles, vibrators that hung from the ceiling attached to tables and floors models on rollers.
Then in 1902 American company Hamilton Beach patented the first electric vibrator available for retail sale. At the time making the vibrator the fifth domestic appliance to be electrified, after the sewing machine, fan, tea kettle and toaster.
The home versions of vibrators soon became extremely popular, with advertisements in Needlecraft, Woman’s Home Companion, Modern Priscilla and the Sears & Roebucks Catalogs. These advertisements soon disappeared due to their appearance in pornography which made it no longer tenable for polite society to avoid the sexual connotations of the device.
Under the guise as “body massagers”, millions of vibrators have been sold to both men and women. Some of the purchasers never use the item for more than relief from muscular tension or aches and pains.
Vibrators nowadays often allow people to achieve orgasm faster and easier than by manual stimulation. They are also often recommended by sex therapists for women who have difficulty achieving orgasm by other means. Couples also use vibrators from time to time to enhance the pleasure of one or both partners.
While some vibrators run on batteries, the others have a power cord that plug into the wall or a rechargeable base.
Harper’s magazine notes a Durex Condom survey that states more than 46% of women owned vibrators at the end of 2005.
To note the sale of vibrators and similar devices are still outlawed in several states including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Indiana, Virginia, Louisiana and Massachusetts and in Texas, the sale of devices for sexual stimulation such as vibrators and dildos is technically illegal unless the buyer signs a statement releasing the product only for educational purposes.
Save yourself the frustration, ride the vibe here @ ![]()
