How to Choose a Vibrator
January 9, 2007
The first thing think about when you want to buy a vibrator is how what part of your body you want to use it on. You can choose a vibrator that concentrates on your clitoris, your vagina, or your G-spot. You can even buy vibrators that will do all three. If you’re buying one to use on a lover, think about his/her favorite erogenous zones.
Some women prefer to focus on clitoral stimulation. Admittedly, using a vibrator in that area tends to get quickly to the point, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way. A small, hand-held vibrator such as Adam and Eve 5x Finger Vibrator can be used for a long, slow session of teasing either at your own hand or the hand of a lover. Try varying the speed and the texture to intensify the pleasure, then bring it down again until you just can’t wait any longer.
A Venus Butterfly Vibrator is another great toy for clitoral stimulation. Strapped to the legs, it can be worn underclothing for wickedly naughty secret public sex games. This can be especially thrilling if your lover is controlling the switch and you never know when an orgasm is going to take you by surprise.
Some women prefer to feel completely filled by the vibrator. If that’s the case for you, you might want to try a long, straight vibrator such as the Christy Canyon Pleasure Vibrator or a realistic penis-shaped vibrator like the Banger Vibrator. While the shimmying in your pussy is bringing you vaginal satisfaction, the movement is vibrating your entire pubic area, subtly causing your labia minora to stimulate your clit. But don’t limit the use of the vibrator there. It can send shivers over your body when you slowly drag it over your nipples and placing the tip against your clitoris can bring you to a swift climax.
Another type of vibrator focuses on the G-spot Vibrator. This is a place a few inches up your vagina that is intensely pleasurable to touch. It tends to be hard to reach because it’s around the curve of your vagina. There are quite a few vibrators designed to reach this spot. You can identify them by the bend or curve a few inches from the tip. This are designed to massage that very special place and can often send you over the edge with on additional stimulation at all.
Some women, however, like to take advantage of all their special areas at once. In such a case, a Rabbit Vibrator is the best bet. The shaft not only penetrates and fills your vagina but rotates to stimulate the G-spot while the body of the rabbit on the top presses eagerly against your clit. The only way to avoid orgasm with this toy is to turn it off before you get there. In the hands of a mischievous lover, it can be tortuously frustrating one minute and sending you into ecstasy the next..
There are, of course, other factors in choosing a vibrator. Appearance can be a big issue. If a vibrator isn’t visually appealing to you might not even want to use it. Texture can also be a big issue. Some women need a very smooth surface on their vibrators while others prefer bumps, ridges, or simulated veins.
Size is another thing you need to consider. We tend to think vagina’s are one-size-fits-all, but this isn’t actually true. While you may adjust to the size of various loves, a penis or an implement can be either uncomfortably large or so small it can barely be felt. Read the size in the product descriptions and decide for yourself what constitutes your best fit.
