How to Perform Kegel Exercises

kegel.jpgWhat’s Kegel? Kegel exercises, invented by Dr. Arnold Kegel, are pelvic floor exercises that strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor. Why would you want to do them? There are a few reasons, but one important one is that doing them makes sex better for both men and women.

Performing Kegel exercises is one of the best ways anyone can improve his or her sexual enjoyment. For the woman, the sensation of penetration is heightened by the increased tightness of her vagina, but doing Kegel exercises on a regular basis also makes it easier for her to have orgasms and makes her orgasms more intense. Her snugger vagina will also make sex feel better for her partner. In a man, the Kegel exercise not only increases pleasure, but helps prevent him from climaxing too soon. Not only does this enable him to pleasure his partner longer, but gives him the opportunity to achieve multiple orgasms.

Kegel exercises can be of benefit to anyone, but before you Kegel, you need to know which muscles to clench. One way to do this is to start to urinate, then try to stop the flow of urine. This exercise works for both men and women. Try this several times as you pee so that you are sure which muscle you need to contract in order to Kegel. Caution however, use this method only to find the right muscles. Kegeling during urination can lead to a bladder infection.

Another way for a woman to find the muscles she needs to tighten is to put her finger in her vagina, Wash your hands thoroughly beforehand. Then lie on a bed or in any position comfortable for you and insert your finger into your pussy. Contract your vagina. If you feel it ‘hugging’ your finger, you have found the right muscle.

There are several variations on the Kegel exercises. First, there is the elevator. This is slowly tightening the pelvic floor muscles from the bottom to the top, holding for a few seconds, then slowly releasing from top to bottom. This exercise works for both men and women.

Another variation is to repeatedly clench the pelvic floor muscles quickly for 3 seconds and pause for 3 seconds alternatively for 5 minutes. This exercise should be done at least three times a day and also works for both sexes. Increase the duration of the contractions gradually over time to 10 seconds.

Another way that women can improve the strength of their pelvic floor muscles is by using an object such as the Opulent Ecstasy Pearls to create resistance. Since the pearls will rub your G-spot as you clamp your pussy, using them is like a pleasure reward for doing your exercises.

You can Kegel any time or place, but it’s probably best to do it privately and at a time when distraction will not be a problem. Doing Kegel exercises creates feelings of pleasure and the tighter your muscles become the better it feels.

Above all, be patient. It takes 3 to 8 weeks for Kegel exercises to show significant results. It only takes a few minutes 3 times a day and the sexual benefits are well worth it. Some couples are even able to have intercourse and achieve orgasm without the usual thrusting in and out by simply flexing the muscles used in Kegeling. Some consider this to be the most intimate and intensely pleasurable act of intercourse possible.
