How to Stimulate the Clitoris
January 9, 2007
First and foremost, you gotta know where the clitoris is in order to stimulate it. Even with all of the hype (not to mention Sex Ed class in school) many men and women still don’t know where or even what the clitoris is! So here we go; Clit Finder 101: the clitoris is the small nub at the top of the labia’s meeting point. It’s made of thousands of sensitive nerve endings which means if you have looked and looked and can’t find it, all you need to do is start gently rubbing the general area and chances are that she’ll make it known somehow once you have stumbled on it. Another tip for the clitoral-ly challenged; the clit swells when aroused, so if you can always resort to looking closely after you’ve rubbed the general area!
You can begin stimulating her clit before the clothes are even off by rubbing between her legs. There’s nothin’ like a high school style heavy petting session and strategically placed leg to do the trick! You’ll know you’ve hit the spot when she begins to grind or hump your leg or hand. The pleasure comes mostly from the build up and the anticipation, so taking your time getting there is a big plus in terms of getting her primed for action.
Clit play is not limited to the hands alone; your tongue and sex toys could go a long way in getting her off. Sex toys offer an extra advantage since they don’t tire out or run the risk of a sore jaw! The key to pleasure is in applying the right amount of pressure no matter what you’re using. Something to keep in mind; since the clit itself is super sensitive, most women prefer the sensation of being touched/rubbed/licked over the ‘hood’, or that little piece of skin over the clit that was surely put there to protect the ultra sensitive nerve endings from overly eager lovers!
No two women are exactly alike so it’s really a matter of experimentation here. Begin rubbing her pussy with your hand and don’t be shy to ask her what feels good. Increase pressure in accordance to her reaction to your touch. When she begins to get wet, move onto a finger and focus on the clit itself. You can slide your finger over the delicate nub easily once it is lubed and try a light circular motion or an up and down rub. Increasing the speed as she becomes more aroused will also up the chances of achieving orgasm. When it comes to clit play repetition is not a bad thing. Once you have found a speed and pressure that works’and she will make it clear that you have’keep at it unless she says otherwise.
According to Pathways to Pleasure author/sexologist Robert W. Birch PhD; only thirty-five percent of the female population is able to orgasm through intercourse. Clitoral stimulation is almost always needed in order to achieve orgasm, but all is not lost! You can have sex and not neglect her clit, but takes a certain amount of coordination in order to get it right, which is why clit-friendly toys were created! Wearing a vibrating cock ring during intercourse is a simple way to apply stimulation to the clit and prolong your fun. You can also try holding one of the smaller vibes against the clit while having sex as there are several types that would fit nicely between her clit and your body.
Take your time, communicate and have fun and you’ll be well on your way to erotic bliss via the clitoris!
