HIV
Acronym for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, the virus which causes AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Symptoms include weight loss and fatigue, fever, swollen glands, chronic diarrhea, infections, and/or purplish spots on the skin. The virus spreads through contact with infected person’s blood or other bodily fluids. HIV can be spread through sex , vaginal, oral, and/or anal, sharing drug needles or syringes, unsanitary piercing and tattooing.
