Infection of the female reproductive organs. This progressive infection attacks the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and/or ovaries and usually develops as result of Chlamydia or gonorrhea. Symptoms include: tenderness and pain in lower abdomen, fever, vomiting, backache, difficulty walking, heavy periods, pain during sex, and discharge coming from vagina.
